WhatConverts
WhatConverts is a lead tracking platform that captures form submissions, phone calls, and live chats from any website and records attribution data — source, medium, campaign, keyword, and device. Connecting WhatConverts pulls those leads into the KynectLocal Leads page so your brand and franchise locations can see every inbound lead alongside the marketing context that drove it.

Location settings — Profile IDs
Section titled “Location settings — Profile IDs”After connecting, you must map each location to a WhatConverts Profile before its leads will sync.
- Go to Grow → Integrations → WhatConverts → Manage.
- Click the Location Settings tab.
- For each location, enter its WhatConverts Profile ID in the field provided.
Finding your Profile ID in WhatConverts:
- In WhatConverts, go to Profiles.
- The Profile ID is the numeric ID shown next to each profile name.
Only locations with a Profile ID configured will have leads synced. Locations without a Profile ID are skipped.
How sync works
Section titled “How sync works”| Aspect | Detail |
|---|---|
| Initial sync | Runs immediately after you connect and fetches 365 days of historical leads |
| Ongoing sync | Runs on a daily schedule, fetching only leads created since the last run |
| Lead types synced | Web Form, Phone Call, Live Chat |
| Duplicate prevention | Each lead is keyed by its WhatConverts lead ID — a lead is never inserted more than once |
How leads are handled
Section titled “How leads are handled”Web Form leads
Section titled “Web Form leads”When a Web Form lead arrives from WhatConverts, KynectLocal checks whether the same contact submitted a KynectLocal form within a 5-minute window (matched by email address):
- Match found — The existing lead record is enriched with attribution data from WhatConverts (source, medium, campaign, keyword, device). No new lead is created.
- No match — A new lead is inserted with all form fields populated from the WhatConverts mapped fields (Contact Name, Email, Phone, Message, and any other captured fields).
Phone Call and Live Chat leads
Section titled “Phone Call and Live Chat leads”These lead types are always inserted as new lead records. Each record includes:
- Caller phone number
- Call or chat duration
- Device type
- WhatConverts transaction type
What appears in the Leads page
Section titled “What appears in the Leads page”When you open a synced lead in Grow → Leads, you will see:
- Form fields populated from WhatConverts mapped fields (Contact Name, Email, Phone, Message, etc.)
- Attribution section showing Source, Medium, Campaign, Keyword, and Device
- Lead type badge — Web Form leads show as form leads; phone call leads show an Inbound Call badge
Lead quality scoring
Section titled “Lead quality scoring”All leads synced from WhatConverts arrive with an Unscored status. Brand admins and franchisees can score each lead from the Leads page:
- Good — the lead represents a genuine prospect
- Spam — the lead is low-quality or irrelevant
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| No leads syncing for a location | The location has no Profile ID configured | Go to Location Settings and enter the WhatConverts Profile ID for that location |
| Leads missing attribution data | The WhatConverts profile is not tracking attribution parameters | Verify that UTM parameters are being captured in your WhatConverts tracking setup |
| Credentials rejected at connect | API Token or Secret entered incorrectly | Go to WhatConverts → Settings → API and re-copy both values, then update credentials |
| Leads appear duplicated | Two different WhatConverts profiles mapped to the same location | Each location should map to exactly one Profile ID |
