Brand Setup Wizard
The Brand Setup wizard runs automatically on your first login and walks you through the four steps needed to get your brand operational: adding locations, generating an AI-powered brand profile, and reviewing your go-live readiness.
When you’d use this
Section titled “When you’d use this”- You’re a brand admin logging in to a brand account for the first time
- You need to onboard a new brand from scratch
How the wizard works
Section titled “How the wizard works”The wizard appears as an overlay on the Dashboard when brand.onboardingComplete is null — meaning setup has never been completed for this brand. Once you click Finish setup, KynectLocal calls PUT /brands/:id with { onboardingComplete: true } and the wizard never appears again for any admin on that brand.
You can click Skip for now at any time to dismiss the wizard temporarily. It will reappear on your next login until you complete it.
Step 1: Welcome
Section titled “Step 1: Welcome”
The wizard opens with a welcome screen showing your brand name. It outlines what the setup covers: adding locations, using AI to pre-fill your profile, and going live.
Click Get started to begin, or Skip for now to dismiss.
Step 2: Add Locations
Section titled “Step 2: Add Locations”
Enter your franchise locations. Each row takes a location name, city, and state. Click + Add another location to add more rows.
You can skip this step and add locations later from Locations. Click Add locations to save and move to the next step.
Step 3: AI Profile
Section titled “Step 3: AI Profile”
Select your brand category from the dropdown, then click Generate with AI. KynectLocal uses the category to generate a brand description and SEO content for your locations. You can review and edit the generated content before saving.
Click Continue to accept, Skip to move on without generating content, or Back to return to the previous step.
Step 4: Go Live
Section titled “Step 4: Go Live”
The final step shows a readiness checklist for each location you added, with a profile completeness percentage for each. It also lists suggested next steps:
- Complete location profiles (phone, address, hours)
- Set up your domain in Domain Setup
- Connect integrations for leads and bookings
- Invite franchisees to manage their locations
Click Finish setup to mark onboarding complete and close the wizard permanently.
