Welcome to KynectLocal Docs

KynectLocal is the digital operating system for multi-location franchise brands. It gives franchisors the tools to build and govern a consistent web presence across every location, while giving franchisees a simple interface to manage their local site.

These docs cover the full platform — the brand admin, the location operator view, and the API for developers building custom integrations.

KynectLocal separates content ownership between the brand and its locations:

Brand admins define the structure — page templates, navigation menus, themes, governance rules, and the default content that populates every location site. They can lock sections of content to enforce consistency or allow franchisees to edit specific fields.

Location operators work within the guardrails the brand sets. They can update their profile, edit the areas their brand allows them to edit, add services, manage forms, and view their own analytics data.

When a brand admin updates a template, the change propagates across all location sites. When a franchisee edits their approved fields, only their site changes.

  • For Brands — every page in the brand admin, documented by feature area
  • For Locations — the location operator’s view: logging in, editing the site, managing forms, and SEO
  • Developers — API reference, authentication, rate limits, and webhooks
  • Reference — glossary and platform terminology
  • Updates & Feedback — what’s new, full changelog, app status, and feature requests

Access to KynectLocal is granted by your franchising organization. If you are a brand admin, contact your KynectLocal account team to set up your brand. If you are a franchisee, your brand admin will send you an invite via the Team page.

If you are a developer looking to use the API, see Authentication for information on requesting API access.
